We went to watch the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee last night. The premise of the show is these adults who play the role of kids competing in a spelling bee. The performers were wonderful. The show was hilarious! I was laughing a lot during the show. I've never heard of most of the words that they were asked to spell like for instance: syzygy, yeoman, crepuscule, chimerical.
The show had a lot of funny lines. My favorite was when Marcy Park (one of the participants in the contest) shouted out: Jesus, I always knew you were asian! LOL!
Lot's of catchy tunes and truly an enjoyable show.
